Baby Bookworms: Lapsit Story Time

This lapsit story time consists of music, stories and rhymes especially chosen to build the bond between you and your baby and is suited for infants and prewalkers. Join us in the Youth Services Program Room each Thursday morning at 9:30 am.

Baby Bookworms: Toddlers Story Time

This story time is for little ones who are mobile up to three years of age and consists of stories, music, and rhymes. Join us in the Youth Services Program Room each Thursday morning at 10:30 am.

Pre-School Story Time Class

Inspire your future reader at our preschool story time. Join us for exciting stories, rhymes and music selected just for children ages 3 - 5 years old. Sessions will be held in the Youth Services Program Room on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 10:30 am.

After School Specials

This program is for children in first grade and up, and is held the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Youth Services Program Room from 4:30 - 5:30 pm.  Each session will include book discussion, activities and refreshments.  Registration is required each month. Not active during summer months.

Butterflies & Dragons Book Club

This book club is for boys and girls in 5th through 7th grade and meets the 3rd Friday of each month from 4 pm - 5:15 pm. Each session will include book discussion, activities and refreshments. To ensure we have enough supplies for everyone, registration is required each month.

Lego Club at the Library

If you love to create and use your imagination, this is the club for you! We provide the Legos and the club meets once per month from 4 pm - 5 pm in the Youth Services Program Room. This club is for ages 7-12. Space is limited, so registration is required.

Read With Me (Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program)

This program encourages children to read by providing a non-judgmental listener and a furry friend that will lie next to them an enjoy the story being read. This is a great way to promote a positive reading experience. Over time your child’s reading ability and confidence can improve, which will make them enjoy reading even more. This program is usually the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3:30 pm - 5:40 pm in the Youth Services Program Room. Sign-up is required.

Family Movie Night

Join us for a movie and popcorn the last Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm in the Youth Services Program Room.  Each movie will be rated G or PG.  No registration is required.

Code Club

Our code club meets every Thursday from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm.  The club is open to grades 5-8, and registration is required.  Our fall 2018 sessions (September 6 through November 15) will be an introduction to HTML/CSS.  Each meeting will have an exercise for participants to complete aimed at helping them to learn HTML/CSS coding.  We recommend that participants attend all meetings, as future meetings will build on previously-covered concepts.  Club size is limited to 14, and a new sign-up sheet will be available at every meeting.

Sensory Accepting Time

On the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 2:30 pm until 3:30 pm, the Youth Services Department will provide a welcome and comfortable environment for individuals with Autism and for those whose lives are touched by them, including families, teachers, and therapeutic support specialists.

Sensory Accepting Story Time

This storytime class is for children with varying styles of learning abilities and is provided in a safe, supportive environment where respect and appreciation for differences is encouraged.  Content is geared toward ages 3-5 years, but all ages are welcome.  This class will take place on the 1st Friday of each month from 11:15 am until 11:45 am.

Dungeons & Dragons Club

The Niceville Gamers Guild proudly presents this monthly club designed to teach kids the game of Dungeons & Dragons. This club is for ages 8-14, and all experience levels are welcome. All materials will be provided. Your child just needs to show up ready to learn and have fun!  The club will meet one Saturday per month, from 10 am until 1 pm in the Youth Services Program Room.  Registration is required each month.
