This lapsit story time consists of music, stories and rhymes especially chosen to build the bond between you and your baby and is suited for infants and prewalkers. Join us in the Youth Services Program Room each Thursday morning at 9:30 am.
Baby Bookworms: Toddlers Story Time
This story time is for little ones who are mobile up to three years of age and consists of stories, music, and rhymes. Join us in the Youth Services Program Room each Thursday morning at 10:30 am.
Story Time Class
Inspire your future reader at our preschool story time. Join us for exciting stories, rhymes and music selected just for children ages 3+ years old. Sessions will be held in the Youth Services Program Room on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 10:30 am.
Catch the Magic School Bus: First Grade & Up
This program is for children in first grade and up, and is held the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Youth Services Program Room from 4:30 - 5:30 pm. Each session will include book discussion, activities and refreshments. Registration is required each month. Not active during the summer months.
Girl Power Book Club
This club is for girls age 9 & up and meets the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Youth Services Program Room. Each session will include book discussion, activities and refreshments. Registration is required each month. Not active during the summer months.
Butterflies & Dragons Book Club
This book club is for boys and girls in 5th through 7th grade and meets the 3rd Friday of each month from 4 pm - 5:15 pm. Each session will include book discussion, activities and refreshments. To ensure we have enough supplies for everyone, registration is required each month.
Lego Club at the Library
If you love to create and use your imagination, this is the club for you! We provide the Legos and the club meets once per month from 3 pm - 4 pm in the Youth Services Program Room. This club is for ages 7-12. Space is limited, so registration is required.
Read With Me (Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program)
This program encourages children to read by providing a non-judgmental listener and a furry friend that will lie next to them an enjoy the story being read. This is a great way to promote a positive reading experience. Over time your child’s reading ability and confidence can improve, which will make them enjoy reading even more. This program is usually the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3:30 pm - 5:40 pm in the Youth Services Program Room. Sign-up is required.
Family Movie Night
Join us for a movie and popcorn the last Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm in the Youth Services Program Room. Each movie will be rated G or PG. No registration is required.
Our code club meets every other Thursday from 4 pm - 5 pm in six-session blocks. The club is open to grades 5 through 8 and registration is required. Club size is limited to 14 students as we have a limited number of laptops for participants to use. Code Club does not require any prior coding experience.
Summer 2018: The Summer Code Club will consist of 6 sessions beginning June 14th. Meetings will occur every Thursday from 4:00 - 5:00 pm (except July 5th). Each meeting will have an exercise aimed at helping participants learn Scratch coding. It is recommended that participants attend all meetings, as each meeting will build on previously-covered concepts.
Sensory Accepting Time
On the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 2:30 pm until 3:30 pm, the Youth Services Department will provide a welcome and comfortable environment for individuals with Autism and for those whose lives are touched by them, including families, teachers, and therapeutic support specialists.
Sensory Accepting Story Time
This storytime class is for children with varying styles of learning abilities and is provided in a safe, supportive environment where respect and appreciation for differences is encouraged. Content is geared toward ages 3-5 years, but all ages are welcome. This class will take place on the 1st Friday of each month from 11:15 am until 11:45 am.
