Prudence Farrow Bruns is an author, meditation teacher, and film producer. She is the daughter of film director John Farrow and actress Maureen O’Sullivan, and younger sister of actress Mia Farrow. She is also the subject of the Beatles song “Dear Prudence.”
Her book "Dear Prudence: The Story Behind the Song" will be available for purchase and author signing.

The annual Library Foundation Fish Fry will take place Thursday, September 26th at the Niceville Community Center from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at the Niceville Public Library. Each meal includes fried mullet, sides and a drink. Dine in or take home. All proceeds benefit the Niceville Library.

On the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, the Youth Services department will provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for individuals with Autism and for those whose lives are touched by them, including families, teachers and therapeutic support specialists.

Our Code Club meets on Thursdays from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm. The club is open to grades 5 through 8 and registration is required. Each meeting of Code Club will have an exercise for participants to complete aimed at helping them to learn to create games with Scratch coding. We recommend that participants attend all meetings, as future meetings will build on previously-covered concepts. Club size is limited to 14 students, as we have a limited number of laptops for participants to use.

This book club is for boys and girls in 5th through 7th grade and meets the 3rd Friday of each month from 4pm-5:00pm. Each session will include book discussion, activities and refreshments. To ensure we have enough supplies for everyone, registration is required each month.

Join us for a movie and popcorn the last Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm in the Youth Services Program Room. Each movie will be rated G or PG. No registration is required.

This program encourages children to read by providing a non-judgmental listener and a furry friend that will lie next to them an enjoy the story. This is a great way to promote a positive reading experience. Over time your child’s reading ability and confidence can improve, which will make them enjoy reading even more. Sessions are held in the Youth Services Program Room one Wednesday each month between 3:30 and 5:40 pm. Sign-up is required.
