    Theresia McInnis is a Niceville resident, retired from Public education; who enjoys working in various mediums of art. The major body of her work is in watercolor. Her work has won awards statewide and represented the Destin Seafood Festival 2015 & 2017. “I’m excited to express a story of the world around me in vivid color using my perspective and having that memory to hold on to. The ideal audience for me is someone that gets involved in the story that is created in a piece and is then evoked to bring his/her own experiences to the subject.” Currently her work is represented at “Artful Things” in Niceville.   4. From Shelves to the Shores

    July 19, 2018, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Youth Services Program Room

    For six weeks this summer, the Niceville Public Library will host the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance to provide a fun, hands-on activity for children. The program will kick off with planting Spartina Alterniflora in salt marsh nurseries at the library. The next 4 sessions will feature activities to help learn about Choctawhatchee Bay. The program will conclude with a restoration field trip where the native salt marsh grasses will be planted along the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay.

  5. Sensory Accepting Time @ the Library

    On the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, the Youth Services department will provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for individuals with Autism and for those whose lives are touched by them, including families, teachers and therapeutic support specialists.

  6. Code Club @ the Library (Summer Edition)

    July 19, 2018, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Youth Services Program Room

    This summer, our Code Club will consist of 6 sessions beginning June 14th. Meetings will occur every Thursday from 4:00 - 5:00 pm (except July 5th). Each meeting will have an exercise aimed at helping participants learn Scratch coding. It is recommended that participants attend all meetings, as each meeting will build on previously-covered concepts. We have a limited number of laptops available, so the club is limited to 14 participants. Code Club does not require any prior coding experience. For grades 5-8 Registration Required

  10. Butterflies & Dragons Book Club @ the Library

    This book club is for boys and girls in 5th through 7th grade and meets the 3rd Friday of each month from 4pm-5:00pm. Each session will include book discussion, activities and refreshments. To ensure we have enough supplies for everyone, registration is required each month.
