The LDC is the set of rules and regulations that govern how land can be used and developed in Niceville, including zoning, building design, parking, signage, and other development standards.

There are several reasons the City LDC is being updated now:

• The need to modernize and simplify the LDC
  • The current LDC is outdated and difficult to navigate
  • There are redundancies and conflicts throughout the LDC which create inefficiencies
• The need to align with current State legislation and the City's Comprehensive Plan
• The need to improve predictability and reflect the community's vision.

Everyone is encouraged to provide feedback, including residents, business owners, property owners, developers, and other community stakeholders.

You can complete the online survey, attend public meetings, or submit comments directly to the City’s Community Development Department. All input will be considered as the City updates the code.
