The annual 4th of July fireworks display, visible from the shores of Niceville and Valparaiso, will take place at 8:45 pm when fireworks are launched from a floating platform in the middle of the bayou.
In response to ongoing complaints about the absence of audio over the past two years, the fireworks committee is bringing back Sound Associates to provide music starting at 6 pm, including the soundtrack synced with the fireworks show. Speakers will be positioned on the fire dock at Lions Park to allow audio to reach up, down, and across the bayou.
For those who plan to arrive early to secure a prime vantage point for the show at Lions Park, food trucks will be set up and ready to serve by 5 pm. There will also be food trucks at Lincoln Park in Valparaiso.
The annual fireworks show is 100% funded by donations from our community, including this year’s presenting sponsor, 3rd Planet Brewing. To contribute to the fireworks fund, please visit www.lightupthebayou.com.
