Membership Requirements

  • Live within city limits of Niceville
  • Attend Niceville High School, Rocky Bayou Christian School, Collegiate High School, Florida Virtual School (or other online school), or be homeschooled
  • Preparing to enter grades 9 through 12 in the fall of the current year
  • Currently have a grade point average of at least 2.25

Join the Council

All those interested in joining the Niceville Youth Advisory Council should fill out the application (PDF) and submit it to the City Clerk, Mr. Dan Doucet. His office is located in the Niceville City Complex at the address above

Five youth members will be selected from the group of applicants. This coincides with the five city council members. Each city council member will select one applicant to sit in the youth advisory council.

Expectations

  • Attend meetings up to monthly
  • Maintain positive conduct inside and outside the council chamber  
  • Report on youth advisory issues to the City Council

Mission

Provide a voice for youth in the City of Niceville and establish a direct medium for civic involvement among this group. The council is meant to represent the diverse youth population in Niceville.
