Provide a voice for youth in the City of Niceville and establish a direct medium for civic involvement among this group. The council is meant to represent the diverse youth population in Niceville
Youth Advisory Council meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00PM in the Council Chambers located at 208 Partin Drive North. The public is invited to attend.
Special Meeting: Youth Advisory Council has a special meeting starting at 5:00 PM, April 1, 2014 meeting in a workshop setting to discuss special projects. The meeting will be conducted at the City of Niceville Council Chambers located at 208 N Partin Dr. The public is invited to attend.
Attend Niceville High School, Rocky Bayou Christian School, Collegiate High School, Florida Virtual School (or other online school), or be homeschooled
Preparing to enter grades 9-12 in the fall of 2013
Currently have a GPA of at least 2.25
All those interested in joining the Niceville Youth Advisory Council should fill out the attached application and submit it to the City Clerk, Mr. Dan Doucet. His office is located in the Niceville City Complex at the address above
Five youth members will be selected from the group of applicants. This coincides with the five city council members. Each city council member will select one applicant to sit in the youth advisory council.
Attend meetings up to monthly
Maintain positive conduct inside and outside the council chamber
Report on youth advisory issues to the City Council
